If we want a world-class economy, we need world-class educators.
I believe teachers should earn six-figure salaries—not as a luxury, but as a national priority.
We ask teachers to shape the next generation, manage overcrowded classrooms, fill gaps in social services, and prepare students for a rapidly changing economy. Then we underpay them and wonder why schools are struggling.
That ends with me.
Six-figure teacher salaries are part of the largest investment in education in a generation, designed to rebuild the entire learning pipeline from early childhood through career readiness.
This plan includes:
- Competitive, six-figure pay to attract and retain top teaching talent
- Universal, affordable child care so parents can work and kids start strong
- Major expansion of trade schools and apprenticeships, aligned with real labor market needs
- Tuition-free public college, because education should open doors, not trap people in debt
When teachers are respected and compensated properly:
- Student outcomes improve
- Turnover drops
- Classrooms stabilize
- Communities get stronger
Education is not a cost. It’s an investment—with returns measured in productivity, innovation, and opportunity.
If we’re serious about competing globally, strengthening the middle class, and giving every child a fair shot, then paying teachers what they’re worth isn’t radical. It’s overdue.
