Text Messaging Program Terms
Program Description
Hamilton for Congress sends follow-up text messages to people who spoke with one of our volunteers on a live phone call and verbally agreed to receive a text message from the campaign. Messages contain campaign, voting, or volunteer information, such as a link to learn more or details about ways to get involved.
How You Join
There are two ways to join. First, you can give your verbal consent to a campaign volunteer during a live call, after the purpose of the call is complete. A volunteer will not send you a text message unless you say it is okay. Second, you can complete the text sign-up form on our website and check the box saying you agree to receive text messages from us. The box is never checked for you. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, donation, or participation in the campaign. The exact words our volunteers read, and the steps that follow, are published on our Text Message Consent page.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. After a live call, you should expect typically one follow-up text message per call. If you join through our website, message frequency varies.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for text messages according to your plan. We do not charge for text messages.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. You may also reply STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. After you opt out, you will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not send you further text messages unless you opt in again. You can also contact us using the details below to ask us to stop texting you.
Help
For help, reply HELP to any text message, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
Rejoining
If you opt out and later want to receive text messages again, reply START to our number, or tell one of our volunteers on a future call.
Carriers
Our text messages are delivered through participating wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered, and delivery may be affected by factors outside our control, such as your coverage area or device settings.

How we collect, use, and protect your mobile phone number and your consent is described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or mobile phone number with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
